Dropcaps
Last year in our first semester, we were tasked to make two different dropcaps based on two artists or designers from late 19th or first half of the 20th century and one from the second half of the 20th or the 21st century.
A dropcap is a large, decorative capital letter that typically appears at the beginning of a paragraph or section in a written document. Its importance lies in its ability to enhance visual appeal, draw attention to the start of a text, and signal the beginning of a new section, thereby aiding in readability and guiding the reader through the content.
For this assignment I decided to pay homage to Harry Beck and Ink-Boy.
Due to this being one of our first projects we did for my certification course, there are some definite improvements I could make if I were to revisit this project. This was an assessment which I had a lot of fun with and it would be cool to do another approach.
